More ASM info

Here’s a good article on setting up ASM if you don’t have raw disk available. It’s a little out of date but works pretty well. On Unix the dd command uses count instead of number. Also the dbca wouldn’t let me see the dd created files so I created the ASM instance using  the manual method described in the article.

After ASM is configured and disk groups are created, use this document to migrate an existing database to ASM.
